Motion Analysis Toolbox for AOS Imaging Studio

The AOS Imaging Studio software (AIS), delivered with AOS high-speed cameras for camera control and video acquisition, is now available with the industry-standard TEMA Motion Analysis engine from Swedish Company Imaging Systems. The TEMA TARTER package is integrated into AOS Imaging Studio and performs motion analysis directly from raw video images. The TEMA STARTER Package allows basic motion analysis features at a very attractive price point as an introduction to video motion analysis.

Motion tracking

For motion analysis, high-contrast markers are placed on the object. Typical markers are dark dots on a bright background, brightly reflective dots illuminated by a spot light, or high-contrast features of the object itself. The motion analysis software will automatically track the position of each markers from image to image and calculate the trajectories of all points in space.

Thanks to its proprietary tracking algorithms, the TEMA STARTER package allows automated tracking of selected objects. Results are presented in predefined formats such as tables and graphs, reflecting quantifiable values. Graphs showing position, speed and acceleration over time are readily available and data can be exported to Excel or Matlab for further analysis.

The Starter version can be upgraded to accomodate different application requirements from the extensive library of TEMA features available from Image Systems, such as 3D tracking, advanced tracking algorithms, special marker types and much more.
