Kowa offers high-quality lenses designed and manufactured in Japan for machine vision and video security as well as low-cost, high quality lenses for color and monochrome video cameras. Kowa lenses include megapixel lenses with low distortion, IR vari-focal lenses, and motorized zoom lenses up to 750mm for long-range surveillance.
Kowa is one of the largest privately owned companies in Japan with business activities in textiles, pharmaceuticals, broadcast and medical and imaging systems. The optics division is best known for their binoculars and spotting scopes, recognized across the world for their superior optical performance.
The Kowa Imaging optics is developed in the Hamamatsu and Chofu Factories and lens manufacturing, which includes polishing and grinding of some of the most difficult types of lenses in the world, takes place at the Gamagori Factory in Japan.
