New GigE cameras from Photonfocus
14 December 2009

Photonfocus has introduced 4 new CMOS cameras with Gigabit Ethernet interface, based on the proprietary 3rd Generation CMOS imagers A1312 and A1312I, optimised for applications in the visible as well as the NIR (Near Infra Red up to 1100nm).

The new monochrome MV1-D1312(I)-80-GB und MV1-D1312(I)-100-GB cameras fully comply with the GigE Vision and Genicam standards defined by the EMVA and AIA.

The new cameras provide a high dynamic range of up to 120dB with the well known LinLog® technology patented by Photonfocus. The MV1-D1312(I)-100-GB cameras deliver up to 68fps @ full resolution of 1312 by 1082 pixel. A major benefit of the new camera is the possibility to further increase the speed to thousands of frames per second by reducing the ROI – Region of Interest – through horizontal and vertical windowing.

The NIR A1312I CMOS sensor has an extended spectral range covering 350nm to 1100nm with a remarkably high Near Infra Red responsivity (Quantum Efficiency ca. 30% at 1000nm) while maintaining an overall excellent image quality. A fast global shutter enables sharp and smear free images even at high frame rates.
