High-speed video surveillance of automated production equipment.
High speed video is useful on the factory floor not only for troubleshooting problems with fast-moving production equipment, but also as an integral part of systems for continuous improvement of machine performance.
In an article in the trade magazine Teknisk Nyt Special nr 9A August 2009 (in Danish), Finn Mengel elaborates on our concept for using networked high-speed cameras for remote monitoring and documentation of mechanical problems in automated production equipment.
The slow-motion videos, downloaded automatically to a remote location are useful, along with other data, for service and maintenance personnel responsible for optimization of machine performance.
