The iCube family from German manufacturer NET is a series of competitive and extremely compact cameras with an USB interface. iCube is ideal for integration into professional factory automation, quality inspection, surveillance and non-industrial applications. iCube cameras use the latest generation high performance CMOS image sensors to offer the best image quality in monochrome or colour.

Applications
The iCube family with USB2.0 interface is suitable for a wide range of image capturing and processing solutions, targeting applications in rough environments like quality control or inspection, positioning or alignment, completeness, surface- and printing inspection, edge- or contour analysis, bar code and data matrix applications.
Also suitable for non industrial segments, like medical applications and microscopy, security, document management, passport/ID-card identification, OCR solutions, access control and surveillance applications, the small and efficient iCube series is a versatile and reliable solution.
Software
The iCube cameras are delivered with the iControl software for easy and quick testing and evaluation. The iControl allows changing camera parameters and saving images over the USB bus.
The iControl software package includes a SDK for integration of the iCube cameras in C++ programs. In addition, the iCube family is compatible with common software libraries with Direct-X/ Direct-Show interface.
OEM applications
The iCube series is also available in without housing as small sized and lightweight board level cameras for OEM use (KS models). All advantages of the standard iCube camera with housing plus additional customer requirements can be implemented in a board camera at a competitive price level. Specific board level features for customized OEM solutions on request. |

Multiple-ROI New
The iCube NS/KS1500 5 Megapixel cameras are now available with built-in RAM/FPGA preprocessing for speeding up multiple ROI applications. The user can specify up to 5 independent ROI's, which are exposed in one exposure and sent to the host PC in one data package. This on-board preprocessing of the full frame image speeds up frame rate and offloads host CPU.
The pre-processing FPGA is available both for the colour and the mono versions, in boxed or OEM package. |
