High-resolution, fast CMOS cameras for demanding vision applications

The D2080 4 Megapixel cameras employ a newly developed Photonfocus proprietary CMOS sensor, using the same pixel architecture as the 1.4 Megapixel sensors used in the successful D1312 series cameras. The large pixel size of 8µm with Linlog active pixel design ensures excellent image quality, high dynamic range and high sensitivity up to 1000nm wavelength.

The camera firmware includes all the advanced features of the D1312 series, including black-level correction, single and multiple ROI, digital gain, user-defined Look Up Tables and much more.

The D2080 camera is available in two monochrome models: the MV1-D2080-160-CL-12 with 34 fps at 12 bit and the MV1-D2080-240-CL-8 with 55fps at 8 bit data, both with Cameralink base interface.

The MV1-D2080-240-CL-8 uses a special data packing format to achieve a data transfer rate of 220 Mbytes/sec on a Cameralink Base interface, thus using the interface at close to its maximum capacity.

The Cameralink Base interface offers significant advantages in cost and complexity compared to Medium or Full interfaces that are normally necessary to achieve such data speeds.
