Fast 1.4 MP Color Camera with Bayer CMOS color image sensor from Photonfocus
With the new colour MV1-D1312C-160-CL-12 camera with CameraLink® interface, Photonfocus introduces its first colour (RGB Bayer) camera, based on the newly developed 3rd Generation CMOS imager A1312C from Photonfocus. The MV1-D1312C-160-CL-12 camera delivers 108fps @ full resolution of 1312 by 1082 pixels. The camera is equipped with all standard features needed for common applications whilst offering an outstanding image quality.
The A1312C image sensor series is designed and fabricated in a 0.35µm CMOS technology optimized for image sensors to achieve an outstanding sensitivity and quantum efficiency. The resolution of the new sensors is 1312 x 1082 pixels, with 8µm x 8µm square pixels and over 60% fill factor with an excellent image quality. The A1312C CMOS image sensor has a spectral range covering 390nm to 670nm.
The A1312C colour CMOS sensors, and with it in the MV1-D1312C-160-CL-12 CMOS camera, is delivered with a cover glass as standard. The cover glass acts as a sharp NIR cut-off filter around 670nm. On request Photonfocus is able to deliver theA1312C image sensor or colour cameras with different cover glass characteristics.
The new colour MV1-D1312C-160-CL-12 camera delivers 108fps @ full resolution, which for the Photonfocus CMOS A1312C sensor is 1312x1082 pixels. A major benefit using the A1312C CMOS sensor is the possibility to further increase the speed by reducing the ROI – Region of Interest – through horizontal and vertical windowing in defined steps. For example with a ROI of 1280 by 768 pixels speeds of about 190 fps can be achieved. Customers requiring sharp and smear free images even with high frame rates will be pleased with the fast global shutter of the MV1-D1312C-160-CL-12 camera.
The MV1-D1312C-160-CL-12 CMOS camera is able to start capturing a new image whilst outputting the current image, thus maximizing the available exposure time and/or frame rate.
